- My brother: Love the single shot sniper rifle, although I think its pretty funny that in the future we're still using shotguns when we supposedly have Iron Man-esq technology #suspensionOfDisBelief
- Me: Well, look at it this way. Lasers are cool and everything, but even at a handheld level, they're high-end technology. Ammunition in the form of bullets (read: shells) is cheap, easily produced on a massive scale and capable of being supplied across the galaxy. Sure, it isn't high end tech, but it doesn't break too easily and reliability is one of the things you definitely want when you're slaying bodies on the other side of the universe.
